Insider knowledge. Bespoke guidance. The right school for your family.
Choosing the right UK school is easier with a teacher who knows both worlds.
Personal, honest advice for international families considering UK boarding school, day school, or a term in England to build their child's English.
Hello, I'm Elisa
I'm a teacher with over 30 years' experience, and a mother of three whose children each have different needs. I have sat on both sides of the table: as a parent choosing schools, and as a teacher working inside them.
My work has taken me from London to Hong Kong and Mallorca, and online, and has included international schools, so I am used to advising families who are choosing from abroad. I know boarding from the inside too: I went to a private London day school and then boarded for sixth form.
I know UK schools well. I have researched them extensively for my own family and for the families I have advised. When you work with me, you get one person who will take the time to understand your child and advise you personally.

How I can help
A bespoke school match
Helping you decide whether UK boarding is right for your child, then guiding and steering you to the schools that suit their age, character and needs, individually for your family.
A term in the UK
Not ready for a full move? Advice on a single term abroad for English-language immersion, and how to make it count.
Support for the whole family
Preparing your child, and you, for the change, and staying available once they have settled in.
UK guardianship
I can also act as your child's guardian in the UK while they are at school, so a trusted adult is close by for weekends, half terms and anything that comes up in between.
Honest advice, from experience
A brochure can't tell you whether a school is right for your child. I have seen schools from every side: as a pupil, at a London day school and then boarding for sixth form; as a teacher in exclusive private schools, Montessori and Steiner schools and international schools, and as a homeschooler; and as a mother of three who has made these choices for my own family.
That means I will tell you what I really think, including when a school is not the right fit, or when boarding is not the right answer yet. My only aim is the right place for your child.

Fees and how I'm paid
My first conversation and my school advice are free to families. When a family goes on to place their child at a school I have recommended, that school pays me a fee, as is common practice for education advisers in the UK.
This will never change what I tell you. I only recommend schools I believe suit your child, and I will say so plainly if a school is not the right fit, or if boarding is not the right answer yet. If I offer anything separately, such as UK guardianship, I will agree the cost with you openly beforehand.
